Why You Shouldn't Wait Until New Years To Make Changes

Before you know it a new year will be here and people will be making New Year's Resolutions to get fit and healthy, to save money and get out of debt, and all sorts of things.

There is nothing wrong with that, of course. It's like starting the New Year off with a clean slate. Every day can be a clean slate. But, let's think about the benefits of not waiting to set and reach our goals...

You'll Be Ahead Of the Game

Think about what you wish to change and accomplish and come up with a realistic plan to make it happen. Start now and you'll be at least three weeks ahead of everyone else. Not that you must compete with anyone else, nor should you! Your goal should be to strive for continual improvement - even if it's tiny steps forward.

You Can Have One Habit Already Established

With twenty-six days left in 2020, you can replace one bad habit with a positive one. They say it takes 21 days to make something a habit. So what will you choose first? Drink more water? Go to bed earlier? Incorporate more veggies in meals?

Take Stock of This Year

You can reflect on 2020 thus far. What went right? What could you have done better? What could you have used more of this year? Which goals are most important? What do you really want in 2021?

You Can Make Goals For the Right Reasons

You won't feel the pressure of setting NYE goals just because everyone else is doing so. You can think and plan at your leisure. Figure out what is important to YOU and how you can make it happen. Your goals don't have to look like anyone else's.

Conclusion

2020 has been a tough year for everyone, and many of us will be happy to say goodbye to it. Start now to make 2021 your best year yet! When you start making progress on your goals you will feel so much more motivated and inspired. Don't wait to feel motivated - motivate yourself!
